ABOUT THE AUTHORS:

Dr. Vikram Vaka is a clinical psychiatrist, unit director, and research chair for a prominent psychiatric hospital. He is certified by the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry. He has over a decade of experience with psychotherapy and working with people hospitalized due to illnesses such as Schizophrenia. His prior experience includes Co-Chief Resident at the University of Florida, Assistant Professor at the Ohio State University, Wright State University, and Case Western Reserve University with experience teaching and supervising students.

Dr. Sujasha Gupta Vaka is a neuroscientist by practice and an engineer by training, currently working for SWORD as a contractor for DARPA. She has a multidisciplinary background that includes a Master's in Materials Engineering from the University of Florida, a Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering from the Ohio State University (OSU) and has developed and utilized cutting edge techniques to study the brain at OSU, John Hopkins University, Walter Reed, the private sector, and for the US military.
